I literally live down the street from one of the nation's top college prep schools, but all that probably means is that they teach to the SAT/ACT.

Yep, I agree — I'm in favor of abolishing public education. It's probably the single most destructive policy to date — working in the education industry when I started coursefork was a huge eye-opener for me: https://opensource.com/education/13/9/coursefork-education-tool
