not all wallets work with BIP70, and you need a wallet like that to pay a bitpay invoice these days

for a first introduction, maybe we could focus on "what problem are we solving (in general)?" and give a worked example of how Fabric can solve an instance of that problem.

varda

we're also forcing ourselves to explain everything with linear text. what might be ideal is a short narrated video, of maybe 30-60 seconds, with animated diagrams explaining what Fabric does. (i don't have the expertise to create such a thing)

I think we have to lead with this: Our primary goal is to build a new World Wide Web, but this time in a way that everyone has a seat at the table. We're disintermediating the web, removing centralized systems and replacing them with a decentralized protocol, Fabric.

(also there is a link to gratipay that goes nowhere)

we give a bitcoin donation address on one of the pages. I think we would get more donations if either (a) the address looked dynamically generated or (b) the address had some preexisting blockchain activity.

I'll look into it, although I don't have a lot of time. (TIL that dogfooding is a word. :doge:)

here's another good article about the ongoing collapse of the US: https://eand.co/why-were-underestimating-american-collapse-be04d9e55235
